Simon Wallfisch is often invited to chair panel discussions about music and literature. He recently interviewed authors Francesca Simon and Clemency Burton-Hill at London’s Jewish Book week (Kings Place London).
In 2016, Simon Wallfisch was invited to give the Pre-performance talk at the Purcell Room for Mahagonny opera’s production of Kraša’s Brundíbar.
Simon Wallfisch is active as a pro-EU activist. Every month since the signing of Article 50 in 2017, he has performed Beethoven’s Ode to Joy outside the Houses of Parliament in order to promote the importance of Freedom of Movement across the E.U.
The Grandson of an Auschwitz survivor, he is active in Holocaust Education often invited to speak on panels discussing Anti-Semitism and other forms of prejudice. He is often invited to speak and perform at Memorial Events in the UK and Germany.
